Mother's Day gift **silhouette**

I had this bright idea to make my mom a cute little frame for Mothers day. Little did I know, it would take 3 hours+ and tons of mistakes. Oh well...we learn from them, right? So here is some-what of a tutorial of my DIY frame.

Here is the finished product without the pictures in it.
Now let's see how I got here!
This is how the frame started out. I should say I was going for a stained, yellowish color
keep in mind...

Here is my little man cuttin' away.

I figured out the design I want and this is what I came up with...

This is where it start going down hill.
I wanted something yellowish-brown (I thought)
and this is what I color I ended up with and finally stopped. (YUCK)
So, instead of paint I thought it would look cool if I stained it.
Nope.
Not cool.
All of the stain got under my vinyl and some parts didn't have any stain under it.
So, it looked like this.

So, I got mad, threw a fit and was about to go to bed until I realized
I had some red spray paint. My moms house has little touches of red...
so why not?

Whoa...that's red!!

I am pleased with the outcome and I know she will love it
once I get the pictures of the grandkids in there.

Oh and I should add that I L-O-V-E my Silhouette.
I will have to add other projects I have done on here, it's so much fun!

Saw your project, girl, I know about a lot of work trying to do something. However, your "mistake" came out Gorgeous!!

In fact, they say that copying is the greatest form of flattery and I am going to make that for my sister.

I am thankful for your work! Way to go.

I love how it turned out!! I'm the "do over" queen, so I know how frustrating that can be, but it paid off. I'm definitely going to have to get a Silhouette. I see so many fun projects I'd like to try!
