Old table...new look

My aunt gave me this old stained table and I slapped some black paint on it and called it a day. Well, now it's time to give it a new look. I used Valspar Moss (sample from facebook) and Minwax Dark walnut stain.  I wanted to add a little something special to it, so I used my handy Silhouette machine and cut out our last name and painted over the vinyl. After it dried I roughed it up a bit...I love the old antique-y look to it.
Enjoy!

Easy Peasy

I made this shirt using my Silhouette machine right before we went to Uncle T's baseball game. All I did was choose a font and the Silhouette and an iron did the rest. : ) Simple. This was my first time using heat transfer paper and it didn't want to stick to the shirt at first, but I think it was because my iron wasn't hot enough.
I wanted to put "My Uncle Rocks" on the front of the shirt, but I didn't want to embarrass my brother-in-law. : )

This is the best picture I got of the front of the shirt.

Go Uncle T!!

Easter and baby fever...

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter. We had a great lunch with family and an indoor egg hunt due to the rain. I'm not complaining...we need the rain, BAD.

Silly boy on Easter morning.

Speaking of baby fever...this little sweetie will give it to you.
Ali is the newest member of our family. She belongs to my cousin, Liz.

I have been watching her a few days a week
so we have photo shoots to share with her Mommy!

What i've been doing lately...

I love springtime. That means I get to get my hands dirty and start planting some flowers. I, in no way, shape of form, have a green thumb. I actually don't know the names of some of the plants I have. Here is what I am workin' with in the front bed.

May Night Salvia

Japanese Maple

Sad Lavender Plants

Victoria White Salvia

New Creeping Phlox

White Indian Hawthorn
This bush hasn't done well.
It is the first year it has budded out white flowers.

Lily

New Azalea
Rose Blooming
Iberis

Mother's Day gift **silhouette**

I had this bright idea to make my mom a cute little frame for Mothers day. Little did I know, it would take 3 hours+ and tons of mistakes. Oh well...we learn from them, right? So here is some-what of a tutorial of my DIY frame.

Here is the finished product without the pictures in it.
Now let's see how I got here!
This is how the frame started out. I should say I was going for a stained, yellowish color
keep in mind...

Here is my little man cuttin' away.

I figured out the design I want and this is what I came up with...

This is where it start going down hill.
I wanted something yellowish-brown (I thought)
and this is what I color I ended up with and finally stopped. (YUCK)
So, instead of paint I thought it would look cool if I stained it.
Nope.
Not cool.
All of the stain got under my vinyl and some parts didn't have any stain under it.
So, it looked like this.

So, I got mad, threw a fit and was about to go to bed until I realized
I had some red spray paint. My moms house has little touches of red...
so why not?

Whoa...that's red!!

I am pleased with the outcome and I know she will love it
once I get the pictures of the grandkids in there.

Oh and I should add that I L-O-V-E my Silhouette.
I will have to add other projects I have done on here, it's so much fun!

Most boring blog EVER! ***Picture Overload***

I am sure this is going to start being the most boring blog ever, but I feel like my pictures (mostly of Hudson) are just sitting in My Pictures on my computer. Well, to kick things up, I just got a new camera...so why not start showing off my little crazy, silly, loving little Hudson! Also, if anyone is reading this, I am wanting a photo editing program. Something easy that a beginner could learn to use. Hope everyone has been great!! Now for some pictures!!

Of course I had to add a picture of Bentley!
